You Can't Save the Spider *and* the Butterfly

*runs away from G+’s Dragon Age community for another week and hopes the asshole in question suddenly forgets how to log in ever again*

Okay, so I went and peeked back in that community again and I’m even more fucking pissed now. EVERYONE knows how pro-mage of a player I am in Dragon Age, but asshole had made some trollish anti-templar comments that, like all his other OPs, he thought were just so damn witty that he had to +1 them himself. I responded slightly sarcastically, but not rudely, about how the problem isn’t EVERY INDIVIDUAL WHO HAS EVER BEEN A PART OF THE CHANTRY OR THE TEMPLAR ORDER (who he says should “all die”) but the institutions, and listed off various characters within both institutions who are pro-mage—including the freaking Divine during Asunder (though we don’t know yet where she stands after the actual declaration of war, to my knowledge). My comment? Very conveniently deleted by Asshole OP.

Next, a mod comments on the same post. She far more politely than he’s earned by this point asks him to not be a troll—opinions are fine, but basically asking for any sort of genocide is not. She also asks why he +1s his own posts and comments—is he so uncertain about the quality of his posts that he has to inflate them that way? She goes on to say that when he makes good, thoughtful posts (which has happened twice, so in spite of him being an asshole is technically possible) people will +1 them and have conversations about those posts, and even links to the few posts he’s made that we’ve all had conversations on.

Her comment? ALSO FUCKING DELETED.

Seriously, I really like some of the people in that little community but this guy is driving me to my limits and he still isn’t banned yet in spite of deleting a mod’s comment that tells him to behave better. And I still can’t outright block him because that will block—not just hide but full-out block—every post he’s ever contributed to even if the other posts originally belong to other people.
