“The Origin of Heroes”
I don’t know if this looks good or bad, but I like it, so I leave it at that.
My Warden Meriana Cousland and Alistair, how I picture them to have grown up to be the persons they are when the game begins.
While Meriana had comfortable beds to sleep in and all new and shiny books to read, Alistair had to put up with straw mattresses and used books (or tossed away books until he went to the Chantry to start his templar training).
And I do think that they often gazed at the stars (or generally heaven if it was cloudy like it must be most of the time in Ferelden XD) that they were gazing at the same time… wondering if there was someone out there who was waiting for them and who would make them happy. But I fear they had imagined it all in a totally different way and not a “the Blight brings people together” kind of way… Though Alistair was definitely a knight in shining armor for Meriana… If she was the damsel in distress Alistair had imagined to find and save… well, that is questionable to say the least ^^”
I blame this on the Anon from earlier today… it reminded me that there was one picture I always wanted to do but never dared to… “The Sacrifice” …
I had one time played the ending where my Meriana didn’t agree to the ritual and went to face the Archdemon without Alistair… Headcanon-y I explained it that she was of the opinion that either group should be led by a Grey Warden. She was heading to the Tower while Alistair was to remain in the Courtyard… if one team failed they still got one team left with a Warden… I was devastated in the final scenes, when Alistair (now king without his queen) spoke to her on the grave and told her that she probably wouldn’t even have guessed how much she was missed…
Okay… this picture collided with most of my plans for today… I haven’t sketched any ATC by now nor read my paper… bad thing, I don’t even feel guilty about it D:
But I wanted to draw the moment Alistair has to pick Meriana up after he had found her… he wouldn’t allow anyone else to touch her in that moment.

Alistair in armor that doesn’t make sense lore wise but god damn does he look good in it appreciation.
I don’t normally prefer Alistair in heavy or massive armors, but damn this looks good on him.
