Amano art of FFX and X-2.
I have to make some personal commentary on these and say that in these pieces Amano’s created such an intense romantic feeling of the original concepts and stylistic themes, the perpetual dreamlikeness and the look of the vast drowned, doomed world, that collecting these made me look closer at and fall in love with the very IDEA of this game, which I think was a lot more impressive and intense than the end result.
I actually have three home-printed and home-framed Amanos from FFX hanging in my dining room, right across from three more from FFVI. The three FFX ones I have are Tidus and Yuna in the spring, Yuna in/on the water during the Sending in Kilika, and a more portrait-ish one of Yuna sitting in her kimono. I’ve actually only seen about half of the ones in this set before, though, which is a bit surprising but in a good way. :)
Oh yeah, and my obligatory “always reblog Amano” comment. :p
