Caught him just the other day, blushed all the way down to his navel, then couldn't find his shirt. I swear he's gonna hurt himself one of these days, the way he works that thing.
- Wynne: I don't want to hear this anymore do I?
- Oghren: I keep telling him pike's are for sticking things at long range, aye? Horses and such. Not for twirling like a sissy girl.
- Wynne: Wait, you're talking about an actual pike? Like a spear?
- Oghren: Obviously. What else would I be talking about?
Spent two days with the UDK, trying to tint Bethany’s Kirkwall Circle robes for Wynne to wear. (Fur! Wynne needs fur!) I wanted a colour scheme similar to her Ferelden Senior Enchanter robe, only less of a pinky-orange/tomato red. Two days… and while I could get the chest to look pretty nearly perfect, the lower skirt looked like vomit. Or like someone had vomited on it… not sure which. Sometimes looked like shiny vomit, but that didn’t make it better. Just shiny.
Well, I know when I’m beaten… I opened up Photoshop, masked the areas to be changed, and changed ‘em. Less than 10 minutes, and it looks like what I wanted it to in the first place. Now Wynne’s thighs will be toasty warm while she stands around in camp.

I love it! I wanted to try my maroon dye on Bethany’s robes so badly, but even if I can figure out which mods are conflicting with my Kirkwall Exports install I don’t think I’d actually use that dye on it permanently—I just want to see how it transfers to that item for science. I’m not sure what color(s) I’d use if I actually dyed it, but it’s a moot point at the moment anyway. :(
From my current playthrough of Awakening. I forgot about this dialog with Wynne if you ask her what’s troubling her.
It also raises questions about Asunder and the Circle politics mentioned in the book.
What struck me about it when I saw the scene after playing DA2 and reading Asunder is just how much Anders knew in DA2 what effect his actions would have. He knew if the Circles went independent, it would mean enormous change. He knew that by declaring war on their behalf, the other mages still in the Circles would have no choice but to eventually make that vote again, and this time it would pass.
I just can’t justify playing Vrania, yet taking the chance that any of the blood mages could escape. Old woman just wouldn’t get out of my way.
